Kotickee will provide a health record with each kitten sold. Each Devon will be FeLV/FIV negative. If a kitten is shipped to its new home, he will travel with a veterinary certification of good health. This will be issued within one week of shipment. There will be no guarantees given against communicable diseases once it leaves Kotickee having been veterinarian certified and having no control over exposure to other felines.

Kotickee will guarantee the health of a new kitten for seventy-two hours after leaving (excluding weekends). If a veterinarian examines the kitten within that period and finds that it is deficient in genetic make up such that it will be prevented from functioning as a companion pet, it may be returned. A sign veterinarian statement of such must be supplied. At our choice it will be replaced for another or a refund will be issued. Veterinary charges assumed during this period will be the responsibility of the new owner. Any shipping charges incurred will not be refunded or covered by Kotickee in the case of a replacement

Kotickee will replace a Devon if it should die from a genetic disorder. A veterinarian certified necropsy must have been preformed and documented. Shipping charges will be the responsibility of the owner.

Kotickee will under no circumstances assume liability for any veterinary expenses incurred by the purchaser.

Allergy Guarantee –

Kotickee guarantees its Devons to be hypoallergenic. If within a reasonable period of time, including an initial period for tolerance development, the new owner finds that he cannot tolerate the Devon, he may be returned at his cost, for a refund of the purchase price (less shipping).

Deposit and Balance Due –

A $300 good faith deposit is required of all purchasers who will not take immediate possession. This deposit will be applied to the balance due and is not refundable. It maybe however, transferred to the next available kitten of the purchaser’s choice. The total balance of the kitten cost (and shipping charges) must be paid in full before taking possession of a kitten (or a kitten is shipped). A cashier’s check, money order or cash will be accepted for balance of payment. Personal checks will be accepted only as deposits. Kotickee does not have the ability to accept credit cards.

CFA Registration Papers –

Kotickee will send the purchaser the CFA registration materials for the kitten purchased when a statement of altering has been received. A certificate of spay/neuter or an invoice statement of such from the attending veterinarian must be provided.

Responsibility of the Purchaser –

The new owner agrees to provide a loving, safe and healthy environment for the Devon. The kitten will be maintained as a completely inside feline. It will be fed a premium food such as Iams. It will be altered at an acceptable age as determined by the new owner’s veterinarian. Yearly veterinarian examinations and vaccinations should be followed. The Devon should be kept free of parasites both internal and external.

If the owner becomes unable to keep the Devon, he should make every effort to relocate him in a similar and acceptable home. If this deems not possible he can be returned to Kotickee. Under no circumstances should he be placed in a shelter or pound.

Devon sold with full registration –

Breeder/Show Devon are available to approved individuals by private contract. Upon acceptance as an approved (breeder/show) owner, pertinent contract details will be forwarded. All appropriate terms and conditions of a general sale will apply.
